There’s always something happening in Wiltshire, from village traditions that go back centuries to international air shows. We thought it was time to gather a few of our favourites together in one place, so we’ve started an events calendar that will keep on growing as the months roll by. It’s not a formal guide, just a way of sharing what we love most about this corner of the world and giving you ideas for days out while you’re here!
Expect a mix of history, countryside charm, and seasonal fun. Think Mop Fairs with fairground rides and candyfloss, pumpkin picking at local farms throughout October, and Pewsey Carnival’s illuminated procession with lanterns strung above the river. For something quieter, don’t miss our dark skies—perfect for stargazing, spotting the ISS overhead or watching the Orionid meteor shower from the skylight of your shepherd hut. And as winter draws in, the Marlborough Christmas Lights Switch-On brings festive sparkle to the High Street, complete with markets and music. 🎠🤹♂️🎃🌠🎄
Our calendar will keep expanding, so whether you’re planning a short escape or a longer break, check back often to see what’s on. Wiltshire is packed with stories and celebrations, and we’re glad to share some of the ones that make this place special.
